The students did a great job!

ARMT/SAT Home Report (Grades 4-6)

In Guidance this month, Grades 4-6 will receive their home report from last years ARMT and SAT.  We will go over the report in class so please ask your child to explain it to you!  :)  If you have any questions, feel free to call the school to set up a time to meet with me.
We will also discuss Study Skills during our lesson.  Every student will identify one new strategy to help them improve this year!  I have attached a copy of the power point I used in class if you would like to reinforce at home.

Listening Skills (K-2)

Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns to ListenThe last few weeks we have worked on listening skills during library time.  Kindergarten students listened to the story, "Howard Wigglebottom Learns To Listen", by Howard Binkow.  If you would like to watch it at home, click on the story name to watch an online version!
Upper grades listened and followed directions to short activities where listening or reading carefully was essential to the task.  All grades have done a great job so far!

During K-2 Library time, I have been awarding a Super Star Listener for each class.  The student that wins exemplifies good listening skills and following directions for library time that day.  For this award, they get their name on a star in the library, pick out a prize and have their name read on the announcements.  You should receive a letter in your child's folder from me on the day that they receive it!

Don't forget that your child has weekly Library Time!  They should have their books to turn in on the day they go to library.
Kindergarten -Tuesday (do not check out books until after Christmas Holiday)
First Grade -Wednesday
Second Grade -Thursday
Free time to check out books is available on Monday and Friday.
