So glad to have the ladies from Sole Sisters at the Cahaba River Environmental Center last week. This is a free opportunity for our girls, ages 13-17!
The Cahaba Environmental Center, in partnership with Canoe the Cahaba, Cahaba Riverkeeper, and the Cahaba River Society, has been selected as recipients of the North Face's Explore Fund for our new program:Sole Sisters! Starting this fall, Sole Sisters takes young women (ages 13-17) from the Birmingham area out to the Cahaba Environmental Center for a weekend of backpacking and canoeing to teach them the skills that they need to be leaders in the outdoors and in their home communities!
