What: Explore exciting careers in robotics, manufacturing, automotive technology, and many more. Hear from industry leaders about what they look for in potential employees and the types of jobs they have available. Tour the Alabama Robotics Technology Park or an Alabama manufacturing plant.

Who: Students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 2015 with interest in pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering, or math.

Cost: THE CAMP IS FREE! The National Science Foundation via Carcam has awarded Jefferson State Community College a grant which pays for the STEM camps and provides a stipend of $100.00 for students who complete the camp.

College Sports Recruiting Scholarship

We are offering a $1,000 
scholarship to eligible high school seniors. The College Sports Recruiting 
Scholarship will be awarded to 1-5 winners each year. The details for the

UA Rural Minority Health Scholars Program (Junior and Senior Opportunities)

Juniors and Seniors who are interested in Health Science need to see me me about a great program through the University of Alabama.

Requirements:
Resident of Rural Alabama for 8 years
ACT with writing (score of at least a 21)
Currently 11th or 12 grade
Two letters of Recommendation
Statement of interest essay.

Applications must be postmarked by March 15th.

Study Habits Scholarship

Scholarship Deadline: April 1st, 2015 ($500)

To be eligible for the Study Habits Scholarship a student must:

1) Be attending an accredited post-secondary institution by the fall of 2015.

2) A student can be enrolled at any level in any program that is two years in length or longer.

3) Students must be Canadian or US residents.

4) Students must answer the essay question on the website online application form

Extend the Dream Scholarship

Extend the Dream Student Scholarships    About the Extend the Dream Scholarship  In 2011, SACAC initiated Extend the Dream Scholarships to recognize and reward deserving students.  This scholarship is awarded based on financial need, academic achievement and community service.  Awards are in the amount of $1,000 and are not renewable.   The Extend the Dream Student Scholarship is provided through funds from the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling.   Go here for more information and requirments:  http://www.sacac.org/extend-the-dream-scholarships

Dr. Watkins High School Scholarships

• Must be a graduating senior.
• Must have a minimum SAT score of 830 or ACT score of 17.
• Must have a 2.5 or higher grade point average.
• Must possess leadership skills and show school/community involvement.
• Must submit two letters of recommendations (e.g. Guidance Counselor, Pastor, Deacon or Community Leader/ Organization) letters should include student name and must be no longer than two pages. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE MAILED DIRECTLY TO THE REV. Kind Hands

Students have been turning in hands for the Guinness book of world records world kindness event!  Each hand earns the students a KIND bar donated by the company!  Hands should be turned in by Friday to be submitted.
